Tottenham marched in to the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Werder Bremen at White Hart Lane. Saturday’s hero Younes Kaboul put Tottenham ahead in the 6th minute, finishing from 10 yards following good work from Aaron Lennon. Luka Modric then put Spurs firmly in control with a beauty, collecting Peter Crouch’s knockdown before flicking inside his marker and firing home. Crouch then got the third to secure Tottenham’s passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time.
