Arsenal will be looking to continue their recent good form when they take on Aston Villa at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Arsene Wenger will select:

Goalkeeper: It’s going to be interesting to see who Arsene goes with in goal. Wojciech Szczesny was been left out for three matches before being recalled for last weeks FA Cup clash at Brighton. I don’t think he did enough in that game to warrant a permanent recall to the side so I think we’ll see David Ospina back between the sticks on Sunday.

Defence: Per Mertesacker is set for a recall after being rested last weekend and the German is expected to start alongside Laurent Koscielny in the center of defence. New signing Gabriel Paulista will be in the squad but with just two days training with his new team mates under his belt, I don’t see Arsene starting him just yet. Kieran Gibbs should continue at left-back but I think we’ll see Hector Bellerin come in at right-back in place of Calum Chambers.

Midfield: Francis Coquelin should be recalled in midfield with Mathieu Flamini dropping back to the bench. Tomas Rosicky was outstanding against Brighton but I have a feeling we’ll see him left out on Sunday with Santi Cazorla coming back in after being rested. Aaron Ramsey is likely to be the other central midfielder as Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta remain injured.

Attack: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out of the game with a groin injury so Theo Walcott could retain his place on the right wing after scoring against Brighton. Arsene has said he’s unlikely to risk Alexis Sanchez – who has a minor hamstring problem – so Mesut Ozil should keep his place on the left and support Olivier Giroud in attack. Danny Welbeck is close to returning from a thigh injury but is unlikely to be risked this weekend.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:

What do you think of the team and what eleven would you pick?
