Manchester United moved up to third in the Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Reds opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Robin van Persie volleyed home after being found by a lovely over-the-top through ball from Daley Blind.

United then made it 2-0 just minutes later when Radamel Falcao was on hand to bundle the ball home from close range after Angel Di Maria’s initial effort had been saved.

The game was all-but over at half-time as Wes Morgan put through his own net from a corner to give United a three-goal cushion at the break.

Leicester did pull one back in the second half as Wasilewski headed past De gea at the far post in the 80th minute but United held on to secure a 3-1 win and move above Southampton in to third place in the Premier League table.
