Liverpool will be looking to progress to the last eight when they face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Saturday evening. Here is the side I think Brendan Rodgers will pick:

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet continued his recent good form against Tottenham on Tuesday so it’s almost certain he’ll start again this weekend.

Defence: Rodgers has stuck with a settled back three lately but he may have to reluctantly break up his defence due to injuries with Emre Can possibly moving into midfield. If the Reds boss opts for this option then Dejan Lovren could get a recall having lost his place in recent weeks. Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho will once again start at the back.

Midfield: Steven Gerrard has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Spurs in midweek so he joins Lucas Leiva on the sidelines. Joe Allen could be in Rodgers thoughts but I think he’ll opt to move Can into midfield alongside Jordan Henderson. Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno should start on the flanks but Jordan Ibe could get a breather after impressing in his last two games.

Attack: Daniel Sturridge came through his first start in five months unscathed on Tuesday but it remains to be seen whether Rodgers will risk him from the start again or keep him fresh for Tuesday’s Europa League clash with Besiktas. Mario Balotelli is pushing for a rare start after coming off the bench to score his first league goal of the season but I have a feeling we’ll see Sturridge start in attack again. Raheem Sterling remains a doubt with the foot injury that he kept him out of the Spurs game so Adam Lallana is on stand-by to step in with Philippe Coutinho likely to keep his place in attack.

Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:

What do you think of the team? What line-up would you go with?
