Chelsea will face-off against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Capital One Cup at Wembley on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Jose Mourinho will select:
Goalkeeper: The continued debate over who should start in goal continues but Thibaut Courtois is now the established No.1 and I think Mourinho will stick by the Belgian this weekend.
Defence: Chelsea are likely to make a couple of changes to the back four that started during last weeks 1-1 draw at home to Burnley with Gary Cahill likely to come in for Kurt Zouma. Tottenham aren’t blessed with too much pace in their attack so I think Mourinho will opt for the strength and experience of Cahill alongside Terry. Cesar Azpilicueta is also likely to be recalled in place of Filipe Luis at left-back while Branislav Ivanovic should keep his place on the right.
Midfield: Chelsea have no fresh injury worries to contend so John Obi Mikel is their only absentee through injury. However, Nemanja Matic will sit the final out as he begins his two-game suspension, so Ramires is expected to start alongside Cesc Fabregas in the center of midfield.
Attack: New signing Juan Cuadrado started against Burnley but I think we’ll see Willian come back in on Sunday. Oscar should start but he may be asked to play a little deeper than usual to offer extra protection in midfield. Eden Hazard obviously starts and he’ll support Diego Costa in attack.
Here is how I think we’ll see Chelsea line-up:
