Liverpool will look to continue their excellent form when they take on Newcastle at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think the Jurgen Klopp will pick:
Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet is expected to come back in to the starting eleven in place of Adam Bogdan after being rested in midweek.
Defence: Nathaniel Clyne is also set to return in place of youngster Connor Randall but otherwise we should see the same back four that started against Southampton on Wednesday night.
With Mamadou Sakho still out injured, Dejan Lovern will continue alongside Martin Skrtel in the centre of defence while Alberto Moreno will continue at left-back.
Midfield: Emre Can is suspended for the game after collecting his fifth booking of the season last time out so James Milner should come back in to the side after being rested at St Mary’s.
Jordan Henderson continued his comeback from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a cameo appearance against the Saints but I don’t think Klopp will start him just yet so Joe Allen could continue in midfield alongside Lucas Leiva.
Attack: Daniel Sturridge made his return to the starting eleven with a bang in midweek but despite scoring two fine goals, I think Klopp will be cautious with his striker and will resist the temptation to start him twice in four days. Therefore, Christian Benteke could lead the line up front.
Divock Origi was in excellent form against Southampton having scored a hat-trick but the Belgian youngster may find himself back among the subs with Roberto Firmino recalled to the side.
Philippe Coutinho is expected to miss his third game in succession after struggling to overcome a niggling hamstring problem.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
