Tottenham will look to secure top spot in their Europa League group when they entertain AS Monaco at White Hart Lane this evening.

Spurs have already sealed their place in the last 32 and currently sit three points clear at the top of Group J but they still need a point to guarantee first place ahead of Anderlecht and with it, an easier draw in the knockout stages.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men warmed up for the game with a hard fought 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon but they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways and finish their Europa League group stage campaign off on a positive note.

However, that may not be an easy task as Monaco arrive in the capital needing victory to stand any chance of overhauling second-placed Anderlecht and making it through to the last 32 of the competition.

Pochettino is expected to rest a few key men ahead of Sunday’s clash with Newcastle with Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker among those set to be given a breather.

Mousa Dembele has been ruled out due to illness but Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli are back in contention after recovering from injuries.

Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard are still unavailable but the likes of Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies and Kevin Wimmer could feature.

Monaco have a number of injury worries to contend with as Fabio Coentrao, Joao Moutinho, Guido Carrillo, Ivan Knight, Adam Traore, Andrea Raggi and Loic Badiashile are all unavailable for selection.

Tottenham 2-1 Monaco:  Spurs have been in fine form of late and have a 100% record at home in the Europa League, while Monaco are yet to pick up a victory on the road. The Ligue 1 outfit also have a lengthy injury list to contend with so I can’t see past a Spurs win tonight.
