Man Utd vs Swansea Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Manchester United take on Swansea at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Manchester United will look to address their worrying run of form when they entertain Swansea at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds head into the game sitting sixth in the table and without a win in their last eight games in all competitions but they did halt a run of three successive defeats with a solid 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea on Monday evening.
Louis van Gaal remains defiant despite question marks over his future as manager but there’s no denying the pressure on his shoulders will intensify further if they don’t pick up a much-needed win tomorrow.
Swansea have problems of their own as they arrive in Manchester sitting 17th in the division and just two points above the relegation zone following Monday’s draw at Crystal Palace so the Welsh outfit will be desperate to take home a positive result this weekend.

Team News
United suffered no fresh injury concerns during the draw with Chelsea but none of their injured players are ready to return meaning van Gaal will choose from the same squad as Monday night.
Antonio Valencia remains out with a knee injury while Jesse Lingard is still nursing a hamstring problem so the duo continue on the sidelines with long-term injury victims Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo.
Michael Carrick could be recalled to the starting eleven after being left out against the Blues with Morgan Schneiderlin the man most likely to drop out.
As for Swansea, they will hand a late fitness test to Angel Rangel after he picked up an ankle injury while Wayne Routledge is expected to shake off a knee problem.
However, Eder and Tabanou both remain on the sidelines with ankle and thigh injuries respectively.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Man Utd 2-1 Swansea: United are in a disastrous run of form but there were some positive signs in the game against Chelsea and they were unfortunate not to win the game after hitting the woodwork twice. While I do think Swansea will make a real game of it, I’m backing United to edge this one.
Betting Tips
Manchester United are the 11/20 favourites to win but Football-Talk can get you enhanced odds of 4/1 on a United victory – just click here to take advantage. My prediction of 2-1 is on offer at 17/2 and I also like the look of Anthony Martial opening the scoring at odds of 4/1. If you combined those two bets in a score-cast then we get very tempting odds of 22/1.
