[Video Goals] Chelsea 1-1 Man Utd: Costa Rescues Late Point For Blues

Manchester United’s top four hopes were dealt a major blow after Diego Costa rescued a 1-1 draw for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

United arguably had the better of the first half with Thibaut Courtois denying Anthony Martial while Oscar also missed a decent chance for the home side to open the scoring as the two sides went in 0-0 at the break.

The visitors eventually broke the deadlock midway through the second half as Jesse Lingard fired in to the top corner on the turn to give United the lead in the 61st minute.

It looked as though United were set to secure a vital three points in their quest to close-in on the top four, however, there was a late twist in the tail as Diego Costa beat the offside trap to make it 1-1 in injury time.

The draw leaves Chelsea down in 13th place in the table while United are fifth and now six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
