The Manchester United players have taken to Twitter to congratulate youngster Marcus Rashford after his dream debut against FC Midtjylland on Thursday night.

The Manchester United players have taken to Twitter to congratulate youngster Marcus Rashford after his dream debut against FC Midtjylland on Thursday night.

The 18-year-old striker was called in to Louis van Gaal’s starting eleven at the last minute after Anthony Martial got injured in the warm-up and it’s safe to say he took his chance with both hands.

With the game tied a 1-1 on the night and United trailing 3-2 on aggregate, Rashford turned things around with a second half brace to put United in control as they eventually went on to secure their place in the last-16 with a 6-3 aggregate victory over the Danish minnows.

After the game, several United players have taken to Twitter to congratulate the teenager and celebrate the Red Devils booking their place in the draw for the next phase of the Europa League.

Chris Smalling, David De Gea, Juan Mata, Morgan Schneiderlin, Daley Blind, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo all posted messages to their followers, while Rashford himself took to the social media site to react to what was a memorable night for the youngster.
