The Manchester United players have been celebrating on Twitter after giving their top four hopes a major boost with a 1-0 victory over Watford at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The visitors gave as good as they got for much of the game with striker Odion Ighalo going close to opening the scoring on several occasions before Juan Mata made the Hornets pay for their missed chances by curling home a superb free-kick with less than 10 minutes remaining.
The win boosted United’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season as they moved level on points with fourth-placed Manchester City, so it’s easy to see why some of the players have been celebrating on Twitter.
David De Gea, Morgan Schneiderlin, Daley Blind, Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera have all taken to the micro-blogging website to celebrate United’s fourth consecutive victory in all competitions.
