Arsenal Set To Rotate As Wenger Offers Team News Update Ahead Of Hull Replay
Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will rotate his team as he gave the latest team news ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup replay with Hull City on Tuesday night.
Arsenal will continue the defence of the FA Cup when they take on Hull City in a fifth round replay at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night.
Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this morning and he’s given a team news and injury update.
The boss confirmed that the only expected change from the squad that drew with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday will see Alex Iwobi come in for the suspended Francis Coquelin.
Coquelin will be forced to serve a one-game suspension after being sent off for a second bookable offence shortly after half-time during our 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Iwobi is now set to be recalled to the squad for the trip to the KC Stadium tomorrow evening with the 19-year-old hoping to get another chance to impress having started in the original FA Cup tie against Hull last month.
Wenger made ten changes to his line-up at the Emirates just over two weeks ago and the boss has confirmed that he will once again rotate his team against the Tigers tomorrow.
Wenger is quoted as saying by London24 this morning:
“We lose Coquelin from his bad tackle – everyone else looks medically available.”
“We should have the same squad that went to Tottenham. Alex Iwobi will now be added to the squad for tomorrow’s trip.”
“We will have to rotate. I will have to rotate a little bit to keep the right balance.”
The team gave a lot against Spurs at the weekend so I expect the boss to make plenty of changes tomorrow night with the likes of Calum Chambers, Mathieu Flamini, Joel Campbell, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud among those set to come back in to the starting eleven.
