Some of the Chelsea players have been celebrating on Twitter after the West Londoners thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues opened the scoring midway through the first half thanks to a Ruben Loftus-Cheek strike before Alexandre Pato came off the bench to score on his debut with the Brazilian making no mistake from the spot after being brought down in the area.
Pedro then added a third shortly after half time with a fine finish following an excellent move before the Spanish international wrapped things up with Chelsea’s fourth midway through the second half.
The win does little for Chelsea in the league as they need a minor miracle to finish in the top four this season with fourth-placed Manchester City ten points ahead with seven games remaining.
However, Guus Hiddink still wants to end his reign as interim boss on a positive note and this latest win stretched his unbeaten run in the league to an impressive 15 games.
After the win, goal-scorers Pato, Pedro and Loftus-Cheek have all taken to Twitter to celebrate the victory by posting photos and messages to their followers.
