Man Utd vs Bournemouth Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Man Utd take on Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Manchester United will be hoping to steal fourth spot from Manchester City when they take on Bournemouth on the final day of the season at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils blew their chance to leapfrog City after losing 3-2 at West Ham in midweek so they head in to the final game of the season relying on their rivals to slip-up to secure Champions League football next season.
City hold a two point lead and boast a far superior goal difference so realistically United need to beat Bournemouth and hope Swansea can do them a favour by beating the Citizens at the Liberty Stadium.
Louis van Gaal is under pressure to finish in the top four and may also have to win the FA Cup next week to keep hold of his job after another disappointing campaign at Old Trafford.
Bournemouth on the other hand have exceeded expectations following their promotion from the Championship and they could finish as high as 12th if results go their way tomorrow.

Team news
United will be without Matteo Darmian as he’s failed to recover from an ankle injury that kept him out of the West Ham game while Marouane Fellaini is serving the final game of his three-match suspension.
Luke Shaw is back in light training but this game will come too soon so he remains on the sidelines along with Bastian Schweinsteiger – who’s out with a knee injury.
Adnan Januzaj is also missing after picking up a knock in training but Ashley Young could be back in contention after overcoming a minor injury.
Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns so Adam Smith remains out with a groin injury and joins long-term injury victims Sylvain Distin, Tyrone Mings and Tokelo Rantie on the sidelines.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Man Utd 2-0 Bournemouth: United were poor at the back against West Ham so I’m sure van Gaal will be keen to tighten things up tomorrow and I think they’ll have too much in attack for Bournemouth to handle. The hosts need a win to stand any chance of finishing above City and I think they’ll do their bit with a 2-0 victory.
Betting Tips
Man Utd are the 2/5 favourites but Football-Talk can get you enhanced odds of 8/1 on a home win tomorrow – just click here to take advantage of these crazy odds. My prediction of 2-0 is available at odds of 13/2 while I also like the look of Rashford to open the scoring at 16/5. If you combined those two bets in a score-cast then we get very tempting odds of 14/1.
