Arsenal will look to bounce back from their opening defeat to Liverpool when they take on Leicester City at the King Power on Saturday evening. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech is almost certain to keep his place in goal ahead of David Ospina.
Defence: Wenger has dropped a huge hint that he’s ready to take a gamble on Laurent Koscielny as we’ve got a real lack of experienced options in the middle of defence with Per Mertesacker and Gabriel both injured.
Rob Holding was given a tough introduction to Premier League football last weekend and I think it would be unfair to throw him in again away to the champions so I think we’ll see Calum Chambers line-up alongside Koscielny. Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin should retain their positions at full-back.
Midfield: Big-money summer signing Granit Xhaka was only used as a substitute last weekend so it looks like Arsene is going to ease him in to action and a place among the substitutes beckons again tomorrow.
Jack Wilshere is still working his way back to full fitness so I think we’ll see Mohamed Elneny alongside Francis Coquelin again on Saturday.
Attack: Wenger has suggested he might not gamble on Mesut Ozil or Olivier Giroud from the start so it looks like Alexis Sanchez will once again lead the line up front. Theo Walcott should keep his place after scoring last time out but Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi have been ruled out for three weeks meaning we have two positions to fill in attack.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made a good impact from the bench last week so I think we’ll see him come in to the side while Santi Cazorla could be deployed in a more advanced role after impressing off the bench against Liverpool.
Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
