Chelsea will look to make it two wins from two when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon. 

Antonio Conte made a successful start to life in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over West Ham on Monday night so the Italian tactician would love to make it successive wins with another three points tomorrow.

Diego Costa scored the winner last time out but the Brazilian-born hitman was fortunate to still be on the field after escaping punishment for a horror tackle on Hammers keeper Adrian, but Chelsea were still good value for the win.

Watford were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton in their opening game last week but there were plenty of positive signs for new boss Walter Mazzarri to work on as he gets ready to duel with his old foe Conte with the pair known to have a frosty relationship from their time in Italian.

Team news

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns to worry about so Conte has a fully-fit squad to choose from with the exception of long-term injury victim Kurt Zouma.

However, Juan Cuadrado won’t feature as he’s been omitted from the squad amid continued speculation he’ll be on the move this month.

Watford will make a late check on summer signing Isaac Success after he missed the draw at Southampton with a hamstring injury while Brice Dja Djedje is expected to miss out with a foot injury.

Ben Watson is suspended while new signings Roberto Pereyra and Younes Kaboul won’t be involved as they weren’t registered in time.

Watford 1-2 Chelsea: The Blues looked impressive at times against West Ham and Conte has certainly added an extra bite to the team. Watford were unfortunate not to leave St Mary’s with all three points last weekend but I have a feeling Chelsea are just going to edge this one.
