Several of the Arsenal players have taken to social media websites to celebrate after we scored a late, late winner to secure a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
Chances were at a premium as the hosts made life extremely difficult for us throughout the game and we struggled to replicate the kind of form that had seen us beat Chelsea and Basel in convincing style in recent games.
Theo Walcott went close to opening the scoring in the second half with a curling effort while Alexis Sanchez went even closer to finding a breakthrough as he clipped the post with a superb volley.
However, just as it looked as though we’d have to settle for a point, we finally broke Burnley’s resolve in stoppage time as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s far post effort deflected in to the net via Laurent Koscielny’s arm to secure a huge three points.
The win sees us climb up to third place in the Premier League table and to within just two points of leaders Manchester City so it’s easy to see why some of the players took to social media to celebrate after the game.
Shkodran Mustafi, Alex Iwobi, Lucas Perez, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Nacho Monreal all posted messages on their Twitter accounts while Koscielny, Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin all shared photos on Instagram.
