Arsenal vs Swansea Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Arsenal take on Swansea at the Emirates on Saturday. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Arsenal will look to continue their excellent recent form when we take on Swansea City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
We extended our winning run to five games with a hard fought 1-0 win over Burnley before the international break with Laurent Koscielny bundling home a last gasp winner at Turf Moor.
The victory saw us close the gap on leaders Manchester City to just two points following their defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane so it’s important we maintain the pressure with another win tomorrow.
However, Swansea have become our bogey team over recent years with the Swans winning three of our last five meetings, including a 2-1 victory in this fixture last season, so it’s time we turned things around.
The Welsh side have endured a difficult start to the new season having won just one game so far but the players will be looking to impress new boss Bob Bradley so we should know it’s not going to be an easy game.
Team news
Olivier Giroud has once again been ruled out with a toe injury that he sustained during the closing stages of our Champions League draw at Paris Saint-Germain last month so Alexis Sanchez should continue up front.
Aaron Ramsey is also still on the sidelines nursing a niggling hamstring injury that’s kept him out since the opening game of the season but Lucas Perez is set to return to the squad following a minor knee problem.
Francis Coquelin is also back in contention after overcoming a knee injury that he suffered during the win over Chelsea last month but Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck remain unavailable with long-term injuries.
Swansea will be without striker Fernando Llorente after he picked up a rib injury two weeks ago while winger Jefferson Montero is still troubled by a calf problem.
However, defender Federico Fernandez could be available to make his return after recovering from a groin injury.

Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Arsenal 2-0 Swansea: The stats aren’t pretty reading for Arsenal as we average less than a point at home to Swansea in the Premier League – which is our worst record against any side. However, this team has been in excellent form and as long as we don’t suffer an international hangover, I think we’ll pick up the three points. I expect we’ll make a slow start but predict a couple of second half goals to secure a 2-0 win.
