Arsenal Star Signs New 6-Year Deal Worth Over £30m + Ozil Update
Arsenal have been handed a major boost after a key man committed his future to the club by penning a new six-year deal worth in excess of £30m
Arsenal have been handed a major boost after Hector Bellerin committed his future to the club by penning a new six-year deal worth in excess of £30m, according to the Mirror.
Bellerin has been in negotiations with the club for some time and Arsene Wenger admitted last month that he was keen to tie the 21-year-old down to a new deal despite the full-back still having three years left to run on the contract he signed in 2015.
The Spanish international has been rewarded for his superb form with Bellerin developing in to one of the best full-backs in the Premier League since breaking in to the Arsenal first team two years ago.
Hector dropped a huge hint that he was ready to pen a new long-term deal after telling the media last week that he wanted to remain in north London for years to come amid reported interest from Barcelona and Manchester City.
It looks like a deal has now been agreed as the Mirror are one of several newspapers who’re reporting today that Bellerin has now signed a new six-year deal worth over £100,000-a-week.
The contract means Bellerin is now one of Arsenal’s highest earners with the newspaper saying the deal is set to bank the pacey full-back more than £30m with bonuses and add ons.
This is a HUGE boost but efforts must now be stepped up to tie Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez down to new long-term deals, with their current contracts due to expire in the summer of 2018.
The Mirror claim that Arsenal chiefs are close to agreeing a new five-year deal with Ozil that will be worth around £200,000-a-week but Sanchez is proving to be more difficult as the Chilean supposedly wants a buy-out clause included in any agreement.
