Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been expressing his delight on social media after signing a new long-term contract at the Emirates.
Bellerin joined the clubs youth system from Barcelona in 2011 and broke in to the first team in 2014 when he took full advantage of Mathieu Debuchy’s untimely injury.
The Spanish international has established himself as Arsene Wenger’s No.1 right-back over the past two years, racking up almost 100 appearances for the club in all competitions so far.
Bellerin was rewarded with a new deal last year but the 21-year-old has continued to develop in to one of the best full-backs in Europe this season and the club opened talks with his representatives about a fresh contract.
Negotiations were fairly straight-forward and the club announced on Arsenal.com this afternoon that Bellerin has committed his future to the Emirates after signing a new long-term deal.
The youngster has now taken to Twitter to express his delight at penning a new contract, saying Arsenal is his home and he is hoping to have many more successful years ahead in north London.

The exact length of the contract hasn’t been officially disclosed but the Evening Standard claim that Bellerin has signed a six-and-a-half year deal with his wages increasing to around £100,000-a-week – making him one of our highest earners.
It’s a huge boost to see Bellerin commit his future to the club as his potential has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City strongly linked in recent transfer windows.
Bellerin is a major talent who is only going to get better and better over the coming years, and thankfully he’s going to be playing for The Arsenal for the foreseeable future.
