Man Utd vs Feyenoord Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Man Utd take on Feyenoord in the Europa League tonight. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Manchester United will be looking for a win to boost their chances of securing qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League when they entertain Feyenoord this evening.
Jose Mourinho’s men currently sit third in Group A having taken 6 points from their 4 games so far and they would face elimination from the competition if they lose and Fenerbahce beat Zorya Luhansk in tonight’s other group game.
However, a United victory would see them leapfrog Feyenoord in to the top two and put them within touching distance of the next phase so it really is all to play for at Old Trafford tonight.
Both of United’s victories in the Europa League so far have come at home so they should be confident of picking up the three points they need but Feyenoord did win the reverse fixture 1-0 in Holland back in September so the Red Devils will know to be wary of the Dutch giants.
Team news
Mourinho has confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will feature this evening and the Armenian international is expected to make his first appearance in over two months.
Wayne Rooney is also pushing for a recall after being named among the substitutes against Arsenal last weekend while Zlatan Ibrahimovic should return up front after missing the draw on Saturday through suspension.
Luke Shaw could come back in to the side at left-back while Michael Carrick may be rested ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with West Ham.
Chris Smalling remains out with a toe injury so he will once again miss out along with Eric Bailly – who continues to nurse a knee injury – while Marouane Fellaini remains a minor doubt with a calf injury.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Man Utd 2-0 Feyenoord: United have been inconsistent of late but their results perhaps haven’t reflected their performances and they were impressive for long spells against Arsenal last weekend. Feyenoord are a hard working outfit and will no doubt look to frustrate United but I can see Mourinho’s men easing to a 2-0 win in the end.
