Crystal Palace vs Man Utd Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Man Utd take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Manchester United will be looking to continue their push for the top four when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.
Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham has rejuvenated United’s campaign as they now sit just three points off fifth-placed Spurs and six adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho’s side have now won three of their last four matches in all competitions and are unbeaten in their last eight games so they’ll be in confident mood heading to the capital tonight.
Palace have endured an inconsistent season so far but they ended their losing run with an impressive 3-0 win over Southampton before drawing 3-3 at Hull City at the weekend.
Those results have seen the Eagles move up to 15th in the table and three points clear of the relegation zone so Alan Pardew will be hoping for another positive result tonight to boost their survival hopes.
Team news
United will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the Armenian international suffered an ankle injury against Tottenham on Sunday so Juan Mata could get a recall in attack.
Antonio Valencia also misses the match through suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season so Matteo Darmian could switch to right-back with Daley Blind coming in at left-back.
Eric Bailly is pushing for a recall after being left out against Spurs as Mourinho looks to ease him back in to action after two months out with a knee injury.
Palace are expected to welcome back James Tomkins and Bakary Sako after they missed the draw at Hull with minor injuries.
However, Jason Puncheon will miss the game due to suspension while Steve Mandanda, Connor Wickham and Loic Remy all remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Crystal Palace 1-2 Man Utd: United have an excellent record against Palace having won 11 of their 14 Premier League meetings to date and Mourinho’s side have been playing well in recent weeks so I fancy them to edge this one. It won’t be an easy game under the floodlights at Selhurst Park but I’m backing United to bring home the three points with a 2-1 win.
