Some of the Chelsea players have been celebrating on social media after they moved nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace today.
The Blues headed in to the weekend action off the back of a sensational run which had seen them win their previous ten league games on the bounce and they were looking to equal their club record set back in 2009.
The West Londoners got the win they needed when Diego Costa rose high to head home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross shortly before half-time to secure a 1-0 win at Selhurst Park and make it 11 victories on the bounce.
The win moves Chelsea nine points clear of Liverpool and Arsenal ahead of their trips to Everton and Manchester City so Antonio Conte’s men are sitting pretty at the top of the table heading in to the festive period.
It’s no wonder then that some of the players have been celebrating on social media with Victor Moses, Marcos Alonso, Thibaut Courtois and Cesar Azpilicueta all posting messages on Twitter while Willian uploaded a photo to his Instagram account.
