[Video Highlights] Arsenal 1-0 West Brom: Late Giroud Strike Saves Gunners

Arsenal needed a late goal from Olivier Giroud to secure a narrow 1-0 win over a stubborn West Bromwich Albion side at the Emirates this afternoon.
As ever, Tony Pulis has set his side up to be difficult to break down with the Baggies having 8 or 9 men behind the ball at all times to frustrate Arsenal as we went in at the break at 0-0.
Things didin’t change much in the second half but Alexis Sanchez should perhaps have opened the scoring when he clattered the post from close range while Ben Foster also made a couple of excellent saves to deny the Chilean international and Giroud.
However, thankfully we managed to find a way past the former England international as Giroud looped home an 86th minute header following a lovely Mesut Ozil cross to secure a vital 1-0 win.
The win sees us move level on points with second-placed Liverpool ahead of their game with Stoke tomorrow but we remain nine behind leaders Chelsea after they beat Bournemouth 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
