Liverpool are ready to splash out £92m to sign Real Madrid duo James Rodriguez and Marco Asensio this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer and will target high profile names if the Reds can secure a top four finish in the Premier League table.
And the Mirror are citing a report coming from Spanish outlet Don Balon that claims the Liverpool boss has set his sights on pulling off a sensational £92m raid for Madrid duo Rodriguez and Asensio as he looks to strengthen his attacking options.
Rodriguez earned a move to the Bernabeu after starring for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup but he’s struggled to establish himself in Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven this season.
The 25-year-old has started just 7 La Liga games so far and it’s led to speculation that Rodriguez will look for a move this summer in search of regular first team football.
The South American is a huge talent and would be an excellent addition to the Liverpool squad if they could agree deal but I think the Merseysiders will face plenty of competition if Madrid agree to cash-in.
Asensio has found himself on the fringes of Zidane’s team this season too and the Mirror claim that Madrid may be tempted to sell if a £40m offer if put on the table for the young midfielder.
The 21-year-old is highly rated in his homeland and has already been capped by the senior Spain squad so it would be something of a coup if Liverpool were able to lure him to Anfield this summer.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but it looks like Klopp has some ambitious transfer targets in mind and I’m sure Reds’ fans would love to see the likes of Rodriguez and Asensio join the club during the summer window.
