Chelsea will celebrate winning the Premier League title when they take on Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Conte made wholesale changes to his starting eleven for the midweek win over Watford and with an FA Cup final against Arsenal to think about, I think he’ll continue to field a weakened side on Sunday.
Here is the side we think he will pick for the game:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois was rested in midweek and the Belgian international is expected to continue on the sidelines with Asmir Begovic starting in goal.
Defence: Conte refused to confirm if John Terry would be given a start on his last appearance at Stamford Bridge but it would take a cold-hearted man to deny the long-serving skipper the send off he deserves so I think Terry will start.
Kurt Zouma and Nathan Ake were also given run outs against Watford so I think they’ll continue in the back three to give David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta a rest ahead of the cup final.
Midfield: N’Golo Kante started in midweek so I fully expect him to be given a breather this weekend with Nemanja Matic the favourite to come in alongside youngster Nathaniel Chalobah.
Victor Moses didn’t feature against Watford so he could come in to the side while Kenedy should continue in the left wing-back role with Marcos Alonso given a rest.
Attack: Michy Batshuayi is expected to continue up front with Willian once again in support as this would allow Conte to protect Diego Costa while Eden Hazard could also be rested ahead of the Arsenal game.
Pedro could therefore come in to the attack but youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is struggling with a back injury so he might miss out on this opportunity to get some game-time.
