Ivan Perisic is now pushing Inter Milan to secure a deal with Manchester United after agreeing personal terms worth £100,000-a-week with English giants
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd have agreed terms with Ivan Perisic…
Ivan Perisic is now pushing Inter Milan to secure a deal with Manchester United after agreeing personal terms worth £100,000-a-week with English giants, according to a report in the Express.
Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his squad this summer ahead of United’s return to the Champions League and Perisic has emerged as a key target in recent weeks.
Sky Sports News reported late last month that United had seen an opening £36m offer for Perisic rejected by Inter but have been continuing to negotiate with the Serie A outfit to agree a fee.
The Express claim that Inter are holding out for £44m but may have to settle for a lower fee as they need to generate money to balance the books and meet their Financial Fair Play targets by June 30.
The newspaper is citing a report coming from Corriere dello Sport that suggests Perisic is now pushing for Inter to get a deal settled after agreeing personal terms with United.
The Italian outlet says Perisic will double his current wages to £100,000-a-week after making it clear to new boss Luciano Spalletti that he has no interest in staying at the San Siro and wants to join United.
We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming days but obviously its a big hurdle overcome if United have agreed personal terms with Perisic so it all comes down to agreeing a deal with Inter.
If United can get the transfer completed I think the Croatian international will turn out to be an excellent signing as he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions so he’ll give Mourinho plenty of options.

However, Perisic is predominantly a left winger so the 28-year-old’s arrival could cast further doubt over the future of Anthony Martial after the Frenchman failed to establish himself under Mourinho last season.
