Arsenal Dealt Fresh Injury Concern Ahead Of Watford Clash

Arsenal have been handed a fresh injury concern with Aaron Ramsey missing training on Friday ahead of our trip to Watford later today, according to Football London.
Arsene Wenger put his players through their final paces at London Colney yesterday afternoon but the newspaper says Ramsey wasn’t involved in the training session.
The midfielder was nowhere to be seen in the official photos published from training on Friday so it looks like he may have picked up a late knock ahead of our trip to Vicarage Road.
Ramsey did play for Wales earlier this week in their World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland but he didn’t appear to suffer any injury during that game and Wenger didn’t mention any problem at his press conference on Thursday morning.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Ramsey is included in the squad this evening but if he’s ruled out then it could open the door for Jack Wilshere to make his first Premier League start for Arsenal in well over a year.
The England international is back to full fitness after recovering from his latest injury and looked impressive during our Europa League win over BATE Borisov before the international break so Wenger may hand him a start if Ramsey isn’t available.
There was more encouraging news at the back as Laurent Koscielny and Sead Kolasinac were able to take part in full training yesterday which suggests they’ll be in contention to face Watford.
Koscielny was a doubt with an on-going Achilles problem while Kolasinac faced a late test on a minor hip injury but it looks like both players will be able to start this evening.
That news will come as a welcome boost as Shkodran Mustafi has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury while Calum Chambers is also still nursing a hip issue.
Francis Coquelin could be pushing for a place in the squad after he trained yesterday having recovered from a hamstring injury while Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck also return from injury today.
