Sevilla’s £32m-rated midfielder Steven N’Zonzi flew in to London on Tuesday night and will hold talks with Arsenal over a potential move this winter

The January transfer window is just around the corner meaning clubs are working hard on potential deals so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Steven N’Zonzi is in London for transfer talks….

Sevilla’s £32m-rated midfielder Steven N’Zonzi flew in to London on Tuesday night to hold talks with Arsenal over a potential move this winter, according to the Daily Mail.

N’Zonzi is free to leave Sevilla after a bust-up with boss Eduardo Berizzo at half-time during their 3-3 Champions League draw with Liverpool last month.

The French international hasn’t played for the La Liga club since storming out of the stadium at the break and he confirmed earlier this month that he’d be on the move when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Daily Mail cited reports from Spain as claiming last week that Arsenal were close to agreeing a deal to sign N’Zonzi that would see us trigger his £32.5m buyout clause.

It looks like any potential transfer is one step closer to completion as the newspaper is now reporting that N’Zonzi flew-in to Gatwick Airport on Tuesday night to try and resolve his future.

The 29-year-old is believed to be in the capital to see his son but the Daily Mail claim N’Zonzi will also take the opportunity to hold transfer talks with Arsenal about a switch this winter.

Footage of N’Zonzi walking through Gatwick airport has been doing the rounds on social media. Here is a still photo while you can see a video at the bottom of the article.

Arsene Wenger needs to add to his midfield options as Santi Cazorla is currently sidelined with a serious Achilles injury and Jack Wilshere’s future is in doubt as his contract expires in June.

N’Zonzi is a tall, powerful midfielder who would add a much-needed physical presence to the team if Arsenal do end up buying him but it seems Everton are also in the race for his signature.

The Daily Mail say Sam Allardyce is keen to be reunited with N’Zonzi having worked with him during their time at Blackburn but is only looking for a loan move which should put Arsenal in the driving seat to secure a deal.
