3-5-1-1: Conte To Make 2 Changes | Expected Chelsea XI vs Leicester

Chelsea will be looking to climb up to second position in the table when they take on Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Here is the side we think Antonio Conte will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: I don’t think we’ll see any change in goal as Thibaut Courtois is almost certain to keep his place between the sticks this weekend.

Defence: Conte has virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from after David Luiz made his long-awaited comeback from a knee injury during the FA Cup draw at Norwich last weekend.

However, I think the Brazilian international will have to make-do with a place on the bench on Saturday as Andreas Christensen should continue in the middle of the back three.

Cesar Azpilicueta should also retain his place in defence but we could see Gary Cahill recalled after being left out against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final. Antonio Rudiger is the man most likely to make way.

Midfield: Davide Zappacosta is pushing for a recall but I think Victor Moses will keep his place in the right wing-back position while Marcos Alonso is almost certain to start on the opposite flank.

N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas are also expected to retain their places in midfield but if Conte goes with three-men in the middle of the park then I think we’ll see Tiemoue Bakayoko come in for Danny Drinkwater.

New signing Ross Barkley has continued to build on his fitness this week after recovering from a serious hamstring injury but he won’t be in any condition to start his first game just yet.

Attack: Eden Hazard started against Arsenal on Wednesday night and showed no sign of the calf injury that kept him out of the recent FA Cup clash so the Belgian international should once again start in attack.

Alvaro Morata had another frustrating night in front of goal against the Gunners but I think Conte will stick with his big-money summer signing so the Spaniard should once again lead the line up front.

That means Michy Batshuayi will have to make do with a place on the bench where he’ll be joined by the likes of Pedro and Willian.
