Arsenal have joined the likes of West Ham and Everton in registering their interest in signing Gillingham’s giant goalkeeper Tomas Holy this summer, according to the Mirror.
Unai Emery has already spent almost £70m revamping the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger with German goalkeeper Bernd Leno joining Sokratis, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi in making moves to the Emirates in recent weeks.
However, with David Ospina expected to make a move to Turkey and Petr Cech also being linked with a move away from north London after seemingly losing his first team place to Leno, Emery could be in the market for another keeper before the window closes.
Swiss international Yann Sommer has been linked in recent weeks but the Mirror claim Arsenal have lined-up a shock target after identifying Holy as a potential new recruit this summer.
The newspaper says Arsenal have joined the likes of West Ham and Everton in registering their interest in signing the Gillingham stopper following his excellent performances in League One last year.
The 6ft 9in keeper made his name at Sparta Prague after coming through their youth ranks but was snapped up by the Gills last year and was virtually ever-present in their first team last season.
Arsenal scouts have seemingly noticed his potential and the Mirror says Gillingham are expecting offers to come in for the 26-year-old’s signature during the closing stages of the window.
If Arsenal do end up signing Holy then I’d expect him to be our third-choice goalkeeper behind Leno and either Cech or Emi Martinez but we could still miss out to the likes of Everton or West Ham as they are also chasing the giant Czech shot-stopper.

The Toffees could see Holy as back-up for England World Cup hero Jordan Pickford while the Hammers may be lining-up the Gills star as competition for Lukasz Fabianski following his move from Swansea.
