Man Utd Star To Force Move After Fresh Mourinho Bust-Up, Terms Agreed With Euro Giants
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is determined to force through a move to Barcelona following a fresh bust-up with Jose Mourinho
The Premier League transfer window may be closed but European clubs can still buy from English teams and managers are planning for the future so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip. Today, the latest on Man Utd star Paul Pogba….
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is determined to force through a move to Barcelona following a fresh bust-up with Jose Mourinho and has already agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants, according to various reports today.
Pogba relationship with Mourinho’s has been gradually deteriorating over the past year with the United boss unimpressed by the midfielders decision to ignore medical advice on a hamstring injury that kept him out for two months last season and it led to the player being dropped for both legs of the Champions League last-16 defeat by Sevilla.
Pogba was left disappointed by Mourinho’s comments regarding the role he played in France’s World Cup win this summer but the Portuguese coach tried to placate the situation by handing the £89m star the captains armband for last Friday’s opening win over Leicester City.
However, Pogba reignited the feud after telling reporters after the win at Old Trafford he couldn’t discuss his situation at United without being fined.
He’s quoted by the Sun as saying:
“There are things I can say and there are things that I cannot say, otherwise I will get fine.”
These comments didn’t go down well as the Sun claim Mourinho warned Pogba not to air his grievances in the media during showdown talks and told the midfielder to simply ask for a transfer if he wants to quit the club.
Pogba hit back at his manager during the fresh bust-up, with the newspaper saying he told Mourinho that if he wanted to speak to him that way he should go through his agent Mina Raiola from now on.
The situation has only fuelled speculation linking Pogba with a move to Barcelona and the Daily Mail report today that the 25-year-old wants to leave United and is determined to force a switch to the Nou Camp.
The newspaper says Pogba’s agent has already agreed terms over a five-year contract with the Catalans but Man Utd have so far refused to do business and have already rejected one formal offer.
The Daily Mail says Pogba is prepared to wait until January or even next summer to secure his move to Barcelona and even if he manages to repair his relationship with Mourinho over the coming months, the midfielder will still push for a move as he’s desperate to play in Spain.
