Luis Suarez’s move to Liverpool has taken a huge step closer after the striker passed a medical and agreed personal terms yesterday. Liverpool has announced on Friday that they had agreed a £22.8m deal with Ajax for the players services and Suarez was soon on a plane to Merseyside to complete the formalities.
It is belived he breezed through the medical before quickly agreeing personal terms. A club official statement yesterday read:
“Luis Suarez has successfully passed his medical and personal terms with the player have been agreed. We expect to complete the remainder of the paperwork tomorrow.”
With the Suarez deal in the bag, all that’s left now is to persuade Fernando Torres to remain at the club and Liverpool fans will be on cloud nine!
