Unai Emery has decided not to risk Sokratis due to a dead leg so Rob Holding keeps his place alongside Shkodran Mustafi in the middle of the back four with Hector Bellerin coming in to join Nacho Monreal in defence. Petr Cech replaces Bernd Leno in goal.
Lucas Torreira gets a recall in midfield along with Granit Xhaka with Matteo Guendouzi and Mohamed Elneny making way while Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey also come in to the side in place of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Emile Smith Rowe.
Danny Welbeck will feel unfortunate to drop out after scoring twice in the League Cup last time out but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette get recalls in attack.
