Chelsea will be looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the table with a win when they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues booked their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League with a 1-0 win over BATE Borisov in Belarus on Thursday night thanks to an Olivier Giroud goal shortly after half time but the west Londoners will be fully focussed on Premier League matters tomorrow.

Chelsea currently sit two points behind Manchester City and with the league leaders taking on Manchester United in Sunday’s 4.30pm kick-off, Maurizio Sarri will know this is a great opportunity to apply some pressure on Pep Guardiola’s men.

Everton arrive in the capital sitting ninth in the table after beating Brighton 3-1 last weekend so boss Marco Silva will be hoping to build some momentum and improve upon their poor away form this season that’s seen them collect just one win on the road.

Chelsea will hand a late fitness test to Cesc Fabregas after he missed the trip to Belarus on Thursday with a virus while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a doubt with a minor back injury.

However, otherwise Sarri has a fully-fit squad to choose from after Eden Hazard made his return from injury last week and the Belgian international will be looking to get more minutes under his belt tomorrow.

Chelsea will recall a number of first team regulars with the likes of David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Willian, Alvaro Morata, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger all expected to come back in to the side after being rested against BATE.

Everton will give Richarlison every chance to prove his fitness as he’s a doubt with an ankle injury while Kurt Zouma is ineligible against his parent club due to the terms of his loan.

Phil Jagielka and James McCarthy remains on the sidelines through injury while Jonjoe Kenny is also a doubt.

Chelsea 2-1 Everton: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 28 home matches against Everton in all competitions and Sarri’s men have proven difficult to beat this season as they’re still unbeaten after the opening 11 games. I don’t see that record being under threat tomorrow and although Everton will give Chelsea a decent game, I think the hosts will prove too strong in the end.
