Goalkeeper: I don’t think there can be any debate over who will start in goal as Alisson is certain to keep his place between the sticks with Simon Mignolet once again named on the bench.
Defence: Joe Gomez was deployed at right-back during the 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night but I think we should see Trent Alexander-Arnold coming back in to the side on Sunday.
Dejan Lovren has been getting a run of games in the middle of defence recently but I think Gomez could move-in alongside Virgil van Dijk with the Croatian international dropping to the bench. Andrew Robertson is certain to retain his place at left-back with Alberto Moreno once again missing out.
Midfield: Questions have been asked about Liverpool’s midfield after they failed to impose themselves against PSG in midweek so we could see Klopp reverting to a 4-2-3-1 formation against Everton.
Fabinho is pushing for a recall but the Brazilian international is better suited to playing in the holding role in a three-man midfield so he may have to make-do with a place on the bench again.

Jordan Henderson misses out as he’ll serve a one-match ban following his sending off at Watford last weekend while James Milner may drop to the bench meaning we could see Naby Keita come in to partner Georginio Wijnaldum in the middle of the park.
Attack: The change in formation would open the door for Xherdan Shaqiri to be recalled as the Swiss international has impressed whenever he’s been given the opportunity since joining the club from Stoke City in the summer.
Roberto Firmino hasn’t been playing to the best of his ability lately and Daniel Sturridge is an option if Klopp wants to freshen things up but I think Firmino will keep his place up front on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah should retain his position in the attack while Sadio Mane is also set to start against the Toffees and Klopp will be looking to his attacking duo for some inspiration this weekend.
Adam Lallana is unlikely to be fit as he continues to work his way back from injury so he’ll remain on the sidelines along with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke.
