Leicester vs Tottenham Preview | Injury Blows For Spurs | Expected XI’s | Prediction

Here is our match preview ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Leicester at the King Power including team news, line-ups and prediction

Tottenham will be looking to cement their position in the top four with a win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tonight [7.45pm kick-off].

Spurs head in to the weekend action sitting third in the Premier League table after easing to a 3-1 victory over Southampton in midweek, but with Arsenal and Chelsea just two points behind, the North Londoners need a win to guarantee their place in the Champions League spots for another week.

Mauricio Pochettino would be forgiven for having one eye on next week’s huge Champions League clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp but the Tottenham boss insists his only focus is on beating Leicester tonight.

The Foxes come in to the match in solid form as they’re unbeaten in their last six league games and sit ninth in the table but Claude Puel will be keen to get back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw at Fulham in midweek.

Team news

Tottenham will be without Kieran Trippier as the defender has been ruled out after aggravating a groin injury against Southampton while Juan Foyth is also missing due to a minor hamstring issue.

Jan Vertonghen returns from a one-match ban but Mousa Dembele remains out with an ankle injury and is on the sidelines along with Erik Lamela, Victor Wanyama and Davinson Sanchez.

Leicester will continue to be without star striker Jamie Vardy as he’s still nursing a groin injury while Daniel Amartey is out with a broken ankle. However, Jonny Evans could return from a knock and Rachid Ghezzal is also expected to be available.

Predicted Score

Leicester 1-2 Tottenham: Spurs have a solid record at the King Power as they’ve won on four of their last seven visits but they did lose this fixture last season so they won’t be taking anything for granted. I expect Leicester to give Tottenham a tough game tonight as they’ve proven difficult to beat in recent weeks but in the end I think Pochettino’s side will be too strong.
