Arsenal will be keen to secure a first leg advantage when we take on Valencia in our Europa League semi-final at the Emirates this evening.
Unai Emery has recalled Mesut Ozil for the game with the German playmaker starting in attack after recovering from a foot injury that kept him out of Arsenal’s defeat at Leicester City at the weekend. Ozil supports Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in attack with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi having to make-do with places on the bench.
Petr Cech comes in to replace Bernd Leno in goal while Nacho Monreal is only fit enough for a place on the bench after missing Sunday’s defeat with a calf problem. Shkodran Mustafi therefore starts in a back three alongside Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis.
Lucas Torreira is also only named on the bench with Matteo Guendouzi partnering Granit Xhaka in the middle of the park while Mohamed Elneny is named as a substitute once again.
Arsenal appear to be playing with a 3-4-1-2 formation with Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the wing-back positions. Youngster Eddie Nkhetiah is on the bench if needed in the second half.
