Arsenal and Tottenham are in a battle to sign Franck Kessie this summer with AC Milan ready to cash-in on the midfielder if £30m is put on the table, according to the Express.
Kessie made his name during a short stint at Atalanta before joining Milan on an initial two-year loan deal in 2017 which included an obligation to buy clause forcing the San Siro giants to pay around £24m to make the move permanent this summer.
The Ivory Coast international has been a success at Milan and he provided 7 goals and 3 assists in 34 games to help them secure a fifth-placed finish in Serie A last season – narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification.
Their failure to return to Europe’s elite competition could prove costly as the Express claim Milan are now expected to sell some key players in order to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations and Kessie is one of those who could be sacrificed.
The situation has seemingly alerted clubs here in the Premier League as the Express suggests that Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle-it-out over a deal to sign Kessie this summer while West Ham are also named as potential suitors.
However, according to the newspaper, the 22-year-old wants to join a club who can offer him European football so Arsenal and Tottenham are in pole position ahead of the Hammers – who finished 10th in the league last year.
Unai Emery is expected to be busy in the market this summer as he looks to overhaul his squad following a poor season and Kessie could be viewed as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey following his move to Juventus.
Mauricio Pochettino is also set to dip into the market to strengthen his side after losing in the Champions League final and the Spurs coach is seemingly eyeing a swoop for Kessie after losing Moussa Dembele in January while Victor Wanyama is also being linked with a move this summer.

The Express claims Milan are ready to do business over Kessie if an offer worth around £30m is put on the table but we’ll have to wait and see if either of the London duo is prepared to match that valuation.
