Demand for Premier League tickets at all-time high despite soaring prices

The demand for the Premier League is at an all-time high, with teams spending a huge amount of money in the offseason on player signings with £1.4B spent during the transfer market, and last season’s European domination by the Premier League clubs, the league has seen a tremendous spike in demand by fans.

SeatPick, a ticket search engine for live events which aggregates more than 50 different ticket markets in one place analysed the most expensive matches in Europe this season and found that out of 20 of the most expensive matches the Premier League holds 15, with Liverpool vs Manchester United topping the table with a starting from price of about ~450 pounds per ticket before fees.

“What we are finding this season with the Premier League is that fans are looking to buy more tickets to the top prolific sold-out events compared to the cheap games. If ticket sales are an indication for how successful a league is, then the Premier League teams are outperforming most Football leagues this season. The ticket sales, the attendance in the stands and the high level of competition among the top 6-8 teams have been at the very best already and this is a direct result of the Premier League taking the right steps in recent years to become the main show in European Football.

Matches such as the Manchester derbies, Chelsea vs Arsenal and almost any Liverpool home match against the top 6 is attracting fans from all over the UK and abroad regardless of their high ticket prices.
