Arsenal team news: Updates on Bellerin, Pepe & Tierney as 6 players are ruled out
Arsenal have provided a team news update ahead of their Europa League clash with Standard Liege and 6 players have been ruled out of the trip
Arsenal have provided a team news update ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash with Standard Liege and six players have been ruled out of the trip to Belgium.
Unfortunately the club have confirmed a huge blow with the news that Kieran Tierney has dislocated his shoulder and is now facing a spell on the sidelines. The left-back was forced off during the win over West Ham on Monday night and tests have confirmed he dislocated his shoulder but no fixed timescale over his recovery has been announced as yet.
Arsenal have also ruled Hector Bellerin out of Thursday night’s trip to Standard Liege after he pulled out of the West Ham game with a hamstring issue that he sustained during the pre-match warm-up. Bellerin will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Rob Holding is still missing as he’s pencilled-in to resume full training in two weeks as he continues to recover from a knee injury while Dani Ceballos is also not back in full training yet as he overcomes a niggling hamstring problem.
The win over West Ham came at a big cost as Nicolas Pepe and Granit Xhaka also picked up a knocks on Monday. Pepe has been ruled out of the Europa League game tomorrow night with a bruised knee while Xhaka will miss the Liege and City games with concussion.

Arsenal will pray Tierney isn’t ruled out for too long with his dislocated shoulder but the full-back is likely to miss a number of weeks which is a huge blow over the hectic festive period.
Freddie Ljungberg will hope Bellerin and Pepe are able to recover in time to face Man City at the weekend as the last thing he needs is a growing injury list hampering him as he looks to get Arsenal’s season back on track.
