Transfer Window Round Up – Mbappe, Kane, Ronaldo
Here we look at three huge transfers that could still happen during the coming days including Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.
This transfer window has been one of the craziest in a long time as clubs prepare for life after the Covid-19 pandemic. With some huge transfers already gone down such as Lionel Messi to PSG and Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, there is sure to be even more action! You could even say it’s like playing a roulette table at a UK online casino, you never know what is going to happen next!
Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe is one of the brightest talents in world football. He was a World Cup winner at the age of 19 and has gone from strength to strength since. Mbappe is known for his lightening quick pace and deadly finishing which has made him one of the most sort after players in they game at the moment
Kylian Mbappe is under contract at PSG until 2022 which means he only has one more season until he will be classed as a free agent. It has been reported that he will not be signing a new contract and will be looking for a new challenge for the 2022/2023 season. This was until Real Madrid launched a surprise 137 million pounds bid as they look to get the player’s signature before the competition all swoops in when he is allowed to leave on a free next year. It remains to be seen if this offer will tempt PSG to cash in for the player and we believe this one will go right up until transfer deadline day.
Harry Kane
Since the end of the Euros, Harry Kane’s future has been in serious doubt and Man City have been the frontrunners to sign the England captain but haven’t been able to get a deal done yet. It has been reported that they will come in with a strong offer over the upcoming days.
Harry Kane has been Tottenham’s top scorer for each of the last 7 seasons so it is no surprise that Daniel Levy is not wanting to let him go. Man City hope that Kane’s wish to move to the blue side of Manchester will be the catalyst for what would be one of the biggest transfers of all time.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers in the history of the sport, having won every trophy there is to barring the World Cup. There has been some doubt about his future this summer. Juventus have said that they will not stand in Ronaldo’s way if a club comes in for him as they may need to free up funds due to the huge wages he is on.
It is well documented that Manchester City are in need of a striker as they have been in pursuit of Harry Kane, however they have not been able to agree a deal yet. This could be a chance to turn their attention to Cristiano Ronaldo and give him another chance in the Premier League. A move to Man City would be controversial as he is a former Manchester United player and enjoyed some great success there before moving to Real Madrid in 2009.
