Winger Snubs Both Liverpool & Arsenal
Marseille Winger Andre Ayew has put pen to paper on a new contract to scupper the rumours that he will potentially join Liverpool this summer.
Ayew has officially signed a new contract which ties him to the club on the long term and it will end the interest from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. The 21-year-old has been a long-term target for both clubs and has impressed this season scoring seven goals in 28 games, an impressive total for a winger.
The Ghana international excelled at the World Cup and Marseille have slapped a £15million price tag onto their star. It is reported Arsenal have already bid £5million, and Liverpool £10million, but both were rejected.
This will cause both Liverpool and Arsenal to have to find someone else to fill that winger spot that they want to fill. Liverpool wanted him to provide crosses for new record signing, Andy Carroll to latch onto. Whilst Arsenal are looking for another attacking option, with Andrey Arshavin having an inconsistent season.
