Kuszczak To Leave Man Utd
Manchester United back-up goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has declared that his time at Old Trafford is up and wants to leave the club.
Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has confirmed that he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season after 5 long seasons at the club – mainly as a bench warmer. The Poland international has ran out of patience after failing to outshine Edwin Van der Sar as the club’s first choice goalkeeper and has decided to call time on his Old Trafford career.
I’m definitely leaving the club. My time in Manchester is coming to an end. Said Tomasz Kuszczak
The 29-year-old even hit out at his own boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, for not giving him a chance to show his capabilities despite all his hard work in training.
I’ve worked hard for five years but I never played as much as I wanted. It’s a shame the manager didn’t really give me a chance.
I always believed I can be Edwin Van der Sar’s successor. Unfortunately, Sir Alex (Ferguson) has decided differently.
He has just made 30 appearances since his arrival from West Bromwich Albion in the year 2006. Meanwhile, his departure in the next transfer window will definitely increase Sir Alex Ferguson’s desperation to bring in a world class goalkeeper as veteran Edwin Van der Sar is set to retire. The Red Devils are currently keeping a close eye on Lyon’s Hugo Lloris and Atletico Madrid’s David De Gea as potential replacements.
