Bournemouth star Tyler Adams ready to join Man Utd

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams is reportedly ready to join Manchester United, as per transfer journalist Ben Jacobs.
After moving to Vitality Stadium from Leeds United in 2023, the 27-year-old couldn’t serve his new club properly during his debut campaign due to a lengthy hamstring problem.
Although he has also had fitness problems over the last two seasons, Adams has shown glimpses of his qualities. In 25 Premier League appearances last term, he made four goal contributions and helped his side qualify for next season’s Europa League.
Having proven his worth in club football, Adams has secured his place in the USA national team’s starting line-up.
After being impressed by his recent eye-catching performances, Man Utd have identified him as one of the options to strengthen the midfield department.
Now, on The United Stand YouTube channel, Jacobs states that Adams would be keen on a move to Old Trafford if they formalise their interest. The Cherries don’t consider him unsaleable and want around £50m, with his existing deal set to run until 2028.
Jacobs said:
“The player[Adams] would be keen on a move to Manchester United, though, but my information is that although Adams is not unsellable, that number would probably be closer to the £50m mark rather than in and around the £35m, which has found its way out into the media.”
Adams to Man Utd
Adams is a robust defensive midfielder by trait but can provide cover in the box-to-box role if needed. He is quick, strong, tidy with possession and is efficient in defensive contributions.
Following Casemiro’s departure and Manuel Ugarte’s serious knee issue, Man Utd have decided to revamp the midfield department by purchasing Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
However, United reportedly want a third midfielder to cope with next season’s demanding fixture schedule, having qualified for the Champions League.
Adams is a Premier League-proven player and is currently at the prime stage of his career. So, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Man Utd should they purchase him.
However, he has had numerous fitness problems over the years, and the 20-time English champions need to be careful about that before making a potential swoop this summer.
