Tottenham battling with Man Utd & Arsenal to sign Ndiaye

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly battling with Arsenal and Manchester United over a deal to sign Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye, as per Football Insider.
Having revamped the midfield department and backline early in this transfer window, Spurs are said to be keen on upgrading the flanks as well. Manchester City forward Savinho and Liverpool star Cody Gakpo are their primary targets.
However, they haven’t been able to reach an agreement for either forward. So, it appears Roberto De Zerbi’s side have started exploring alternative options as well.
Now, Football Insider state that Tottenham hold a long-standing interest in Ndiaye and could make a concrete approach to secure his services over the coming days.
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal made a move to sign him this summer, but he has rejected the approach as he is keen on staying in the Premier League.
Although the forward’s existing deal is set to run until 2029, the 26-year-old is willing to leave to take the next step in his career, and Everton are prepared to cash-in on him if they receive an offer of around £75m.
However, the report state that Ndiaye ideally wants to join a Champions League club, with Man Utd and Arsenal also holding a long-standing interest in him. Like Spurs, the Gunners and the Red Devils could also make a move for him this summer.
Battle
Following Leandro Trossard’s departure, Arsenal have purchased Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. However, Gabriel Martinelli’s long-term future is currently uncertain as his existing deal is set to expire at the end of this season. So, it appears the North London club want a new left-winger.
On the other hand, Man Utd currently have Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Patrick Dorgu as options to deploy on the left flank. So, they don’t need to add further depth to this position unless anyone leaves.
Ndiaye is a versatile forward as he can play on either flank. He is a Premier League-proven player and is currently at the prime stage of his career. So, he would be a shrewd acquisition for Tottenham, Arsenal or Man Utd should any of those clubs eventually manage to secure his services before the September 1st transfer deadline.
