Liverpool host Fulham at Anfield on matchday four of the Premier League at 15:00 local time tomorrow as Andoni Iraola’s men look to make it three wins on the trot after last week’s success over Ipswich Town and the Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid midweek.
After a slow start to the campaign in their first couple of league games, the Reds are looking like a well-oiled unit and will look to capitalise on their recent run of form against a side that has lost all its matches so far.
Here is a look at the line-up Iraola is likely to go with tomorrow.
Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker could continue in goal for the Reds.
Defenders – Ronald Araujo is likely to have overtaken Jeremie Frimpong in the pecking order at right back after back-to-back starts and high quality performances in the role. Therefore, the Uruguayan could start with Milos Kerkez as the left back. Jeremy Jacquet and Virgil van Dijk could round off an unchanged defensive quartet for the hosts.
Gakpo to replace Ngumoha
Midfielders – Alexis Mac Allister was the match-winner against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and could be picked in the double pivot over Ryan Gravenberch once more. Dominik Szoboszlai is also expected to retain his place in the engine room, while Florian Wirtz is the favourite to play as the number 10.
Bradley Barcola was substituted in the second half in the Champions League fixture but is likely to continue on the right wing after the issue was confirmed to not be an injury. Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo, who has played very well so far in the season, could be back in the starting eleven on the left wing at Rio Ngumoha’s expense after missing the Atletico Madrid clash with a minor problem.
Forward – Alexander Isak, who scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town last weekend, is the favourite to lead the line.
