Dorgu replaces Rashford: Predicted Manchester United XI vs Tottenham Hotspur
After a troubled start to the season prior to the international break, Manchester United will be looking to turn a corner in the next few weeks as they return to action at Old Trafford against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow at 17:30 local time.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are the Red Devils’ guests on matchday six of the Premier League. The Lilywhites come into the match with no win to their name in five league outings, so the home side should be the firm favourite to secure all three points.
Here is a look at the playing eleven Michael Carrick is likely to employ.
Goalkeeper – Senne Lammens is expected to keep his place in between the sticks for the hosts.
Defenders – Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez played as the central defenders last time out against Fulham. The experienced duo are likely to keep their places in the line-up ahead of Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro once more. Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw at right and left back, respectively, are set to square off an unchanged defensive quartet for Man United.
Dorgu on the left flank ahead of Rashford
Midfielders – Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans are consolidating their places in the double pivot for Manchester United, and the Englishman and the Belgian are expected to continue together in the engine room once more. Likewise, Bruno Fernandes is also in contention to retain his place as the attacking midfielder for the Red Devils.
Bryan Mbeumo might also continue to feature down the right flank but a change may be in store on the left as Marcus Rashford, who started the last game, could make way for £30 million star Patrick Dorgu.
Forward – Matheus Cunha is likely to be United’s number nine against Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Benjamin Sesko.
