Bayern Munich’s Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed the club tried to sign Man Utd winger Nani in the summer, but were priced out of a move.
The German giants were heavily linked with Nani in the summer, with many media outlets reporting they had submitted a £30m bid. While Rummenigge confirmed they had enquired about the Portuguese winger, he refused to reveal the amount discussed.
The Cheif Executive did however reveal that Munich were forced to halt their pursuit of Nani after Man Utd kept increasing their valuation of the player:
“We had an interest in Nani, but unfortunately the price went up and up, so he was too expensive.”
