Ravel Morrison Open To Roma Switch – Report
On a relatively quite day of transfer rumours, the chase for Ravel Morrison is hotting up with Roma the latest club linked with a move for the United youngster.
On a relatively quite day for transfer rumours one story that caught the eye concerned Ravel Morrison, with Roma the latest club to be linked with a move for the Manchester United youngster.
talkSPORT have published an exclusive report claiming the Italians have already made an enquiry and received a favourable response from Morrison, who is a product of United’s youth academy.
Sir Alex Ferguson was quoted on Sky Sports News last week claiming the 18-year-old had rejected United’s latest contract offer, suggesting the players unrealistic demands were holding up the deal. Fergie also revealed that United had rejected a bid from Newcastle for the talented midfielder.
However, Morrison swiftly denied his managers claims, using his personal Twitter account to insist he has never turned down a contract offer from the club.
With his contract expiring in the summer, the youngster is free to discuss terms with other clubs this month and talkSPORT report that he is ready to leave Old Trafford and would be open to a switch to Serie A.
It would be a shame for United to lose such a highly-rated youngster after sticking by him through his off-the-field issues, but it seems the player is being badly advised and a career at Old Trafford beyond the summer looks increasingly unlikely.
